Two of my friends Alisha and Cory got married last week, and I came across this picture on my facebook feed. Granted I might not be their closest friend, and I really only rely on facebook to keep up with them, but this picture just hit me. Look at her, standing there like a princess, and him, one of the happiest guys I know, weak, weak in the face of love. Love like this is something I wish upon everyone, and I hope they live a wonderful lifetime together.
It pains my heart to realize how empty and one-sided your relationship is. I only spent a few hours with you tonight but I could feel the incredible energy and love you emulate and yet what you truly long for is that same love and attention in return. Everything about you— your character, beauty, humor and personality is through the roof and the thing you deserve above all else is to be loved unconditionally. You deserve to be spoiled, to be taken on dates, and to be bought a dozen roses. You deserve good morning texts and late night calls. You deserve to be taken on spontaneous adventures, to be held close on cold nights, and to be given that unmistakeable look of adoration. You deserve peace of mind, acts of faithfulness and unexpected gestures of love in addition to all of the little things. You deserve a puppy, a trip to Disneyland and every ounce of that unconditional love that is so elusive. But more than love, you deserve to be cherished.
